Injection of local anaesthetic and steroid next to the facet joints on the right and/or left side of the spine in the neck to treat non-specific neck pain. The intention is to numb the nerves that travel to the facet joints. Pain can also be referred into the shoulder girdle, shoulder, upper arm, between the shoulder blades, upper neck and base of skull.
