Injection into the joint between the toe (phalanx) and the connecting bone (metatarsal) for osteoarthritis and associated pain. The most common injection is the first toe MTPJ injection.

A flexible thin and long catheter (thin plastic tube) is inserted into one of the veins at the inside of the elbow. It is threated into the vein until its tip sits in a vein at the level of the uppr arm or shoulder area. It can be used for iv-fluids and certain medications (such as antibiotics) for several weeks. It is not suitable for chemotherapy or iv-feeding.
